11/25/2025Back when I was studying in Hsinchu, I used to ride my scooter to buy Black Cat buns. On my round-island trips, I'd pick up Gongzheng buns in Hualien and Donghe meat buns in Taitung. Years later, they no longer amazed me. From the changes in meat buns to the making of software monsters, an observation of how time turns beautiful things bloated.

8/5/2006The final day of the round-island journey, departing from Zhiben Hot Spring along the scenic coastal route heading north. Savoring the renowned Donghe pork buns, visiting the Coastal Tropic of Cancer Marker and Dahan Institute of Technology in Hualien, and concluding this impromptu typhoon-altered four-day eastern Taiwan wandering amidst the crawling traffic of the Hsuehshan Tunnel.
